Laetissima Katherine DiGiulio
Laetissima Katherine DiGiulio (nee Ketschkesch), of Orland Park,best replica watches IL, died at age 83 on June 10, 2016. She was born Katharina Ketschkesch on September 24, 1932 in Tschestereg, Yugoslavia (present day Serbia) to loving parents Josef and Elisabeth Ketschkesch. Along with her sister, Marie, she enjoyed an idyllic childhood until the tragic events of 1948 where she witnessed ethnic genocide of her Donauschwaben (Danube Swabian) community. She survived courageously. After spending her school years in Linz, Austria, where she made lifelong friends, she came to America. She was very proud and grateful to become an American citizen, eventually settling in the Chicago area. Despite the tragic events that shattered her childhood, she exuded happiness, kindness and optimism to all around her. Her greatest love was for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, to whom she devoted herself with everlasting love and grace. She will be dearly missed by loved ones in the USA, Canada, and Europe. She was the loving mother of Diane (Richard Gavillet) Goffin, Janice DiGiulio, Steven DiGiulio and Daniel (Christina) DiGiulio; dear grandmother of Char, Matt, Alexandra, Theresa, Damon, Jake, Jenna, Danae, Katherine, Lucas & Michael; fond great grandmother of Braden, Nick, Griffin & Quinn; cherished sister of the late Juliet Rancer; dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.
